Design a perfume bottle inspired by something completely unrelated. For this assignment I decided to think up something that I would find useful. Single use perfume bottles. I like travelling, and when I do, I like to travel as light as possible. Most perfume bottles are too large, so they never get to come along.
Single use perfume bottles would be extremely wasteful, but hey, this is only a piece of homework. For the perfume bottle I took inspiration from a marble. I like marbles. They are small, round and don’t take up much space.
The practical side of the bottle is a little shady (I am not a product engineer), but what I have in mind is a marble inside another marble in two halves. One half is the lid, the other half contains the liquid and the inner marble. The inner marble rolls around and distributes the perfume.
The logo and the name are less shady. The perfume is called “One”, because it is single use, and the logo has a marble in it.
To lighten the wastefulness of the product, the bottle will be made of recycled glass.
