WordPress, my weapon of choice in content management systems, celebrated its 10th anniversary yesterday. For an open source project that’s pretty good.

For me the strength of WordPress has always been the community behind the scenes. All those people giving up time to help build the platform over the years to make it bigger and better. And the result of all that work is available for free. Sure, you need to pay for hosting and domains, but the software is free.

For me WordPress is just a great system. Flexible, always getting better and with a wide user base. So here is to the next 10 years (and beyond). Happy Birthday WordPress.
